@mdragon1801 My dearest Debs, I was a little overwhelmed when I first got my CPAP, having to learn all its parts, & how to properly operate & care for the machine. The mask is a bit uncomfortable, but I am getting used to it, as I’m adjusting my head gear straps to the point where it is just tight enough to create a proper airtight seal, but not too tight where it creates blisters & pressure sores on my face.

    Lots of love & hugs,
    Angie

Oh wow Angie – I had no idea how much you have to go though just to sleep. I so hope you can adjust to wearing this every night. Looks like so much to deal with.
I sometimes use a humidifier at night – mostly during the winter. Running the heater so dries out our air. But that mask thing – sure doesn’t look too comfortable. Does it bother you much?
Going to watch part 2 now. Much luvs my friend. :-)

@weeyin1155 Ahh my dearest Jan, you are very fortunate indeed, especially in your condition. If you did have apnea, I reckon you would either have to wear a dental appliance, or have surgery to correct the problem. Fortunately, you don’t have to worry since you’re not stricken with sleep apnea. :) God bless you!

    Lots of love & hugs,
    Angie

@SandraB1000 Aww my sweetest Sandikins, I’m slowly learning to adjust to this new bedtime routine. My biggest problem I’m facing at the moment is a couple sores around my nose, due to the tightness of the nasal mask. My mom tells me it’s just my “breaking into the mask,” but I don’t think I’m supposed to hurt like this. I just have to grin and bear it. Love you, sweetie.

    Lots of love & hugs,
    Angie

Hi Angie, poor you. I hope you get used to this. It must be awfully difficult to deal with. All my best to you.

I was tested for this Angie and thankfully I was alright, as I was told this machine was not an option for me. It would have allowed air to go into my stomach and added to other problems. You’ll be in my prayers. ?

@cutseypoo777 Oh i definitely think you are doing the right thing sis!
I’m hoping for you that it’s just a matter of getting adjusted to it all!

@sandrateager Ahh my dearest sis, I certainly hope so too. I’m still trying to convince myself that this is the way it’s going to have to be if I don’t want my sleep apnea to get worse, leading to more health problems. If anything, I believe cognative therapy is an option to help me adjust. Thank you so much, dearest heart.

    Lots of love & hugs,
    Angie

@sweetpea027 My sweetest Auntie Ava Poo, it’s easier said than done. My CPAP was delivered to me from out of state. I’d have to call the company, & have a technician come back to my house to re-fit me with the right sized nasal mask. Shame I can’t use a lubercant to help ease the pressure of the seal. I’ll let my doctor know of these problems as well, & perhaps he can help me get re-fitted. Thanks for your concern, sweetie. Love you!

    Lots of love & hugs,
    Angie

@squincegoddess Aww my dearest Squincey, I’m sorry you too have to undergo a sleep study, but relax… There are no pokes or prods involved. You just have to put up with a “bad hair morning” from having several electrodes wired to your head. Please keep me informed, & I’ll guide you through the process. I pray that you do not have sleep apnea! Love you, sweetie!

    Lots of love & hugs,
    Angie

I do have to go get tested for sleep apnea! The CPAP machine looks quite intimidating to me lol, my sister uses one and has gotten use to it now. You’ll be a pro in no time lol. Heading on over to the next vid! XO

Hi Angie , I can see your red sore on your face . Your mask should never do that . Many people have this. Their mask does not do this. The person misfitted you . Go back to get a better fit or next size up. My machine looks just like yours. I have a better mask . Sorry ; they got your mask wrong . Keep us updated . Love ya, Auntie Ava xoxo
